Job Title: Assistant Manager / Manager

Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.
CRY’s assistance to the child development initiatives isn’t just financial. Our Development support team enables our partners work through capacity building, infrastructure support, sharing of ideas and information, networking and joint planning, monitoring and evaluation impact, research, documentation and government interface.
Your Role:
As a person in this position, you will be the link between CRY and CRY-supported projects in AP. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnership management
  • Program management

  • Capacity building of partners in thematic and systemic areas through quality monitoring and Evaluation

You:
You must be a Graduate / Post – Graduate in Social Work, Sociology or Rural Development from a reputed institute. You must have 3 – 6 years experience in the field of urban or rural development, having experience in planning, monitoring and evaluating projects, interfacing with the government and other stakeholders. Initiative, ability to analyze and focus on outcome will be required to fulfill the role.
You should have experience and skills in grant making role, financial management aspects like financial statement analysis, knowledge & experience in financial system monitoring. Strong written and oral communication skill in English & Telugu is essential. Experience of having worked with communities would be an added advantage. You should be willing to travel extensively.

Your role:
This role is responsible for managing existing channel partnerships and establishing new ones in the region in order to generate financial resources from donors in support of CRY’s objectives. It also involves retaining and nurturing relationships with existing and new individual priority donors and customizing the communication as per requirement.

  • Manage the channel partners (Tele, Face to Face, Teleface agencies) in the region which includes agreeing upon targets, ensuring adherence to systems and adequate training and effectiveness of teams.

You will prime-move the planning and the implementation of the plans along with the respective overseas teams; use various communication mediums in achieving the objectives; and monitor the efficacy of the communication strategy. In addition, you need to maximise CRY brand’s reach by using all the media available especially digital along with TV, radio, print – towards raising awareness about underprivileged children in India.

Managing CRY’s digital presence in these overseas markets and measuring and analysing the effectiveness of various activities, maintaining & updating the website will be essential aspects of the role. Coordinating and building partnerships – external and internal – to give their best to CRY by meeting the set objectives in terms of quality & timelines will be essential. Formulating the budgets and monitoring the same is a critical factor of this responsibility.

You:

You must be a Graduate/Post Graduate in Marketing/ Brand Communications or Humanities/ Cultural Studies/Mass Communication. 3+ years experience in advertising, marketing disciplines along with a demonstrated ability to multi task will be important to perform this role. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is essential.

This position will manage design strategy and execution for CRY America. Education, Skills & Experience

  • Academic training in graphic design and visual communications

Job Title: Manager- Media Advocacy

Your Role:

You would be key person in the region to participate in the selection of core media advocacy priorities in the region and create a media advocacy annual/ 3 year plan for the region. In terms of Media collaboration- you would build a close network of media professionals as a community to ensure adequate buy-in from media houses and subsequent coverage of CRY initiatives and issues

You would also be writing relevant articles on child-rights issues for print media; Develop message points and sound bites in response to media queries. You would be finalising the external communication that goes out to the media from the region – type of communication and type of media

You would identify, cultivate and expand a network of contacts among stakeholders, communities and journalists.

Coordinate the printing of communication material both internal and external with the vendors. Ensure compliance Monitor expenses to ensure compliance to budgets and overall cost effectiveness of the functional activities to CRY brand guidelines

You:

You should be a Graduate/ Post Graduate in Mass Communication or Journalism with 5-7years experience in journalism or media advocacy. An understanding and experience of the media/ PR industries – a background in journalism is a huge plus. Excellent communication skills and Experience/ understanding of issue based advocacy is required. You must also have an understanding of the regional media in west region and local language media.
